Precast/Prestressed Girder Help

Design Status

The program automatically calculates and lists the results in a tabular format on the right-hand side of the Strand Pattern. The format of the Design Status results can be selected from the Preferences window, from the Show menu select Preferences. The two formats are the Design status (as shown in Figure 1) and the Enhanced Design Status (as shown in Figure 2).

The Design Status table format will show a summary of the stresses, ultimate moment calculations, and camber and deflection results for the beam using the currently entered number of strands and debonding criteria. Quantities that have exceeded the allowable/limiting stress values or ultimate moment criteria are marked with asterisks (*) for quick identification. If any allowable/limiting stresses or ultimate moment criteria are exceeded, a warning message will appear notifying you.

The Enhanced Design Status multiple table format will show a summary of the stresses, ultimate moment calculations, and camber and deflection results for the beam using the currently entered number of strands and debonding criteria. Quantities that have exceeded the allowable/limiting stress values or ultimate moment criteria are indicated with an asterisk (*) and red text.
